JOJO NONES – The GMA-7 independent contractor accused by Sandro Muhlach was released from Senate detention and has apologized to Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
Countless Filipinos have reacted to the issues involving Sandro Muhlach, the eldest son of actor-businessman Niño Muhlach, and two (2) independent contractors of GMA-7. The young actor accused two (2) contractors of the Kapuso network for allegedly taking advantage of him.
Sandro is referring to an alleged incident in a hotel after the GMA-7 Gala, an annual ball event of the Kapuso network. The young actor is a talent of the Sparkle Management, the talent management arm of the Kapuso network.
The two (2) independent contractors accused by Sandro Muhlach are Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz. The GMA-7 network claimed that they are “independent contractors” but they are still under the Code of Conduct set by the network.
Sandro Muhlach filed a complaint against the GMA-7 contractors at the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation). Together with his father and the NBI authorities, he has also filed a formal complaint against Nones and Cruz before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The Senate invited the camps of Sandro and the two (2) GMA-7 independent contractors into a hearing. Niño Muhlach was even emotional as he recalled how his son opened up to him about the alleged incident.
The Muhlach family is determined to give justice to what was allegdly done to Sandro. Both Nones and Cruz deny the allegations of Sandro Muhlach against them.
During the latest Senate hearing, Jojo Nones was cited for contempt by Sen. Jinggoy Estrada for allegedly lying and not responding to the questions asked of him. He used his “right to self-incrimination” in evading the questions.
After 10 days of detention in the Senate, Jojo Nones has been released. Based on a report on GMA News, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada also revealed that he penned a letter apologizing to him over his behavior during the previous Senate hearing.
“I recognize that my words and tone may have come across as disrespectful and I deeply regret allowing my emotions to get the best of me,” Nones said in his letter.
Nones further claimed in his letter that the “anxiety and stress” that he is experiencing has clouded his judgment and he was not able to express himself in a way he allegedly intends to.
“Please know that it was never my intention to be disrespectful to you or the Senate,” the GMA-7 independent contractor said.
Dode Cruz was not able to attend the hearing because of hospital confinement. He was reportedly suffering from gastro problems triggered by stress since he and Nones were named in the issue.
