Dode Cruz, GMA-7 Contractor, Admitted to Hospital due to Anxiety Attack
GMA-7 contractor Dode Cruz, one of the contractors accused by Sandro Muhlach, was rushed to the hospital due to anxiety attack.
The issue involving Niño Muhlach’s son, Sandro, and two (2) GMA-7 independent contractors gathered different reactions from the public. It broke out after rumors that a young talent was taken advantage of by two Kapuso executives in a hotel surfaced.
Sandro Muhlach filed a case against the two GMA contractors before the NBI or the National Bureau of Investigation. Amid the rumors, the said GMA-7 independent contractors accused by the son of Niño Muhlach were named and photos of them circulated on social media.
The two (2) persons accused by Sandro were identified as Richard “Dode” Cruz and Jojo Nones. According to the Kapuso network, although Cruz and Nones are independent contractors, they are still obligated to follow the Code of Conduct upheld by the network.
Amid the issue, the Senate called for the presence of Sandro Muhlach, Jojo Nones, Dode Cruz, and several others related to the issue for a hearing. On the first hearing, Niño Muhlach was in tears as he recalled the alleged ordeal of his son.
Then, Sandro and two (2) accused were not present at the hearing. The upper chamber moved to sub-poena the two (2) GMA-7 contractors.
On Monday, the Senate hearing over the issue involving Sandro Muhlach and the two (2) GMA-7 contractors resumed. Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz attended the hearing and denied the accusations against them.
Niño Muhlach exposed the text conversation between Sandro and the two (2) GMA-7 contractors at the hearing. Nones and Cruz admitted they apologized to Niño in a previous meeting but maintained their son that they did nothing wrong against Sandro.
Recently, an update from the camp of GMA-7 contractor Dode Cruz crossed the surface. Based on an article on Pep, the legal counsel of the two (2) GMA-7 contractors, Attorney Maggie Abraham-Garduque, revealed that Cruz was rushed to the hospital.
“Yes, Dode was rushed to the hospital today. He has anxiety attacks after the hearing yesterday,” the lawyer said.
According to Atty. Garduque, the GMA-7 contractors were suffering from physical and psychological stress since their names and photos were posted on social media regarding the issue.
Based on the report, Dode Cruz is admitted in the hospital now and he is set to undergo endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures tomorrow. According to the lawyer, her clients were even more stressed after seeing Senator Jinggoy Estrada tear apart the letter they sent to the Senate.
