Update on Carlos Yulo’s Cash Rewards & Gifts for Winning 2 Gold Medals in Olympics
CARLOS YULO’S CASH REWARDS – The incentives and gifts received by the Olympics Double Gold Medalist now exceed Php 100 million.
This year’s performance of the Philippines is undeniably its best so far. The Filipino athletes brought home four (4) medals from the 2024 Paris Olympics and finished the sports event as the best-performing Southeast Asian country.
Pinay boxers Neshty Petecio and Aira Villegas won two (2) bronze medals for the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo won two (2) gold medals for the country.
Caloy won gold medals in men’s floor exercise and vault event. He is the first Filipino to have won two (2) Olympic gold medals for the Philippines. His victory brought so much pride and honor to the country and the Filipinos.
A grand heroes’ welcome was prepared for the athletes who represented the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics. They had a dinner with President Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Imelda Araneta-Marcos, and the presidential sons Joseph Simon and William Vincent.
A grand heroes’ parade was also held in Manila. The office of Pres. Bongbong Marcos gave the athletes Php 1 million each. It is a different amount for Olympic double gold medalist Carlos Yulo and the other medalists of the 2024 Olympics.
Carlos Yulo’s cash rewards and gifts for his Olympics double gold win has reached Php 100 million. Here are some of the rewards and gifts reported to have been extended to the Olympic Double Gold Medalist:
- ₱20 million from the Philippine Sports Commission as mandated by the National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act
- ₱20 million from the Office of the President
- ₱14 million from the House of Representatives
- ₱3 million from the Senate
- ₱2 million from the City of Manila
- ₱10 million from sports patron Manny V. Pangilinan
- ₱5 million from ArenaPlus
- ₱3 million from Megaworld
- ₱3 million from Bounty Fresh
- ₱32 million condo from Megaworld
- ₱6 million Batangas house and lot from Century Properties
- ₱1 million worth of products from SM Retail
- ₱4.8 million Toyota Land Cruiser Prado from Toyota Motors Philippines
Carlos Yulo’s rewards and gifts also includes a brand new Tiggo 7 Pro SUV given by Chery Auto to Carlos, a lifetime free buffet from Vikings, and a 150,000 Mabuhay Miles every year from the Philippine Airlines.
According to the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Carlos Yulo’s cash rewards and incentives are tax-free.
