Office of Pres. Marcos To Give Cash Incentives To All Filipino Athletes in 2024 Paris Olympics
FILIPINO ATHLETES – The office of President Bongbong Marcos is set to give Php 1 million to every athlete that represented the country in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 2024 Paris Olympics which had the eyes of the countless people from different races across the globe has concluded. The Philippines finished as the best-performing Southeast Asian nations in the biggest sports event in the world.
It is the first time for the Philippines to have a double gold medalist in the Olympics. Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo’s Olympics double gold win brought so much pride and honor to the country and to every Filipino.
Boxers Neshty Petecio and Aira Villegas also bagged two (2) bronze medals for the country. PH got four medals in the Olympics which made it the best-performing nation in the said event.
The first Olympic gold win of Yulo was in men’s floor exercise after he scored 15.00. A day after the Filipino athletes and the whole Filipino nation rejoiced for the victory of Yulo in the floor exercise, he bagged another Olympic gold medal for the country in men’s vault events.
Several rewards were pledged by the government and the different private entities for the Olympic double gold medalist. At least Php 33 million awaited Carlos Yulo as well as a condo unit in Megaworld, a house and lot in Tagaytay, another house and lot from another real estate developer, an unlimited access to Vikings Restaurant for free, and many.
President Bongbong Marcos expressed that he will talk to Carlos Yulo to get some tips so the Philippines can make more Olympic medalists. This is another victorious Olympics performance for PH following Hidilyn Diaz’s gold win in the 2020 Olympics.
Recently, the Filipino athletes including Carlos Yulo was met with a warm welcome on their homecoming to the Philippines. They met with Pres. Marcos at MalacaƱang.
The Office of the President, based on a report on GMA News, pledged to give Php 1 million each for all Filipino athletes who represented the country in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Based on the report, aside from the Php 1 million from the office of Pres. Marcos, each of the Filipino athletes who represented the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics is also set to receive another Php 1 million each from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). Each Olympian will get at least Php 2 million each in total.
