The student’s family and her boyfriend reportedly received alarming text messages from her, pleading for help. Her messages indicated that someone was chasing her, which caused panic among her loved ones.

After sending these distressing messages, the student fell silent, further raising concerns about her safety.

Three hours later, CCTV footage from Barangay 334 captured the student barefoot and running along the side of Quiricada Street. The video showed her in tears, desperately seeking help to return home.

Her aunt recounted the shocking moment when a tricycle arrived, carrying the student. The aunt described how they immediately rushed to Quiricada, where they found the victim, disoriented and without her shoes.

The student revealed that she had been held captive by an unknown person who had threatened her with a knife. She recalled being forced to walk quickly under force, with no memory of what happened afterward.

The Manila Police District Station 3 has since launched an investigation into the incident. Barangay Chairman San Diego mentioned that the police are now reviewing CCTV footage to get a clue.

San Diego also emphasized the importance of caution among young people and urged criminals to reconsider their actions. The student, traumatized by the incident, will be referred to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for debriefing and further support.
