Indonesia Intercepts Alice Guo’s Sister & Cassandra Li Ong
ALICE GUO’S SISTER – Sheila Guo and Cassandra Li Ong were sent back to the Philippines after they were intercepted in Indonesia.
The departure of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo from the Philippines amid multiple complaints filed against her and a Senate arrest order left countless Filipinos frustrated. It has been more than a month since the upper chamber released an arrest order against the dismissed Mayor.
The Senate cited Guo in contempt after she skipped two (2) hearings set by the upper chamber. The inquiries were set regarding her alleged involvement in the Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in her town.
Guo is linked to Cassandra Li Ong who is also accused of an illegal POGO operation involvement in Porac, Pampanga. Aside from Guo, the upper chamber also release arrest orders against her siblings.
The authorities visited all the registered addresses of Guo but found negative presence. Amid the multiple complaints filed against her, the Ombudsman recently ruled for Alice Guo’s dismissal from service and the forfeiture of all of her retirement benefits.
Recently, during a Senate session, Senator Risa Hontiveros raised a document claiming the departure of dismissed Mayor Alice Guo from the Philippines. Shortly after, the Bureau of Immigration confirmed the departure of the former Mayor.
According to BI, she did not pass the immigration. Guo reportedly flew out of the country to Kuala Lumpur then proceeded to Singapore to allegedly meet her family. An alleged photo of former Mayor Guo prior to her flight to Singapore surfaced.
Recently, an update that the companions of Alice Guo were detained in Indonesia crossed the surface. The said companions were identified as Alice Guo’s sister, Sheila Guo, and Cassandra Li Ong.
Based on a report on GMA News, Alice Guo’s sister, Sheila Guo, and Cassandra Li Ong were intercepted in Batam, Indonesia. They were taken into custody in Indonesia and then sent back to the Philippines.
Alice Guo’s sister and Cassandra Li Ong arrived in the Philippines late Thursday. Their plane landed in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1. They were set to be brought first to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and then they will be turned over to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
According to Department of Justice spokesman Atty. Mico Clavano, Sheila Guo and Cassandra Li Ong are scheduled to go through medical examination. Based on the report, criminal complaints are up against them.
