DOJ Claims 2 Companions of Alice Guo under Indonesian Authorities Now
ALICE GUO COMPANIONS – The Department of Justice claimed that two companions of the dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor are detained in Indonesia.
Countless Filipinos were left disappointed after dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was able to leave the country amid multiple complaints filed against her. She is faced with accusations about her alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations.
The authorities also questioned Guo about her identity. Guo’s fingerprints matched with the fingerprints of Guo Hua Ping, a Chinese national, as per the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has also filed a P500,000 tax evasion case against dismissed Mayor Guo. The Senate released an arrest order against her after she snubbed two (2) hearings set by the upper chamber.
During a Senate session earlier this week, Senator Risa Hontiveros presented a document that claims the departure of dismissed Mayor Alice Guo from the Philippines. She allegedly flew to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last July 17 and with her arrival abroad the following day.
Guo reportedly moved to Singapore next to meet with her family. The Bureau of Immigration (BI) confirmed the claim of the said document citing the intelligence information from its foreign counterparts.
However, according to BI, Guo was able to depart the Philippines without passing by the immigration. Several authorities including the immigration bureau are determined to investigate to identify the people who have helped the dismissed Mayor escape from the complaints filed against her.
Recently, a photo of dismissed Mayor Alice Guo allegedly taken prior to her boarding Jet Star Asia for Singapore surfaced. Allegedly, she was spotted with another woman who is believed to be Cassandra Li Ong, her alleged cohort in the illegal POGO operations.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) recently released an update. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, two (2) companions of dismissed Mayor Alice Guo are detained in Indonesia now.
According to the justice department, the said companions of dismissed Mayor Alice Guo who are under the Indonesian authorities now are Cassandra Li Ong and Shiela Guo, the sister of Guo.
“We found the connection between Alice Guo and Cassandra Li Ong, which means that Bamban and Porac [POGOs] are closely related,” Justice Secretary Boying Remulla said.
