Construction Worker Lost His Life After He Was Stabbed in Bacolod City

On early Wednesday morning (August 21, 2024), an 18-year-old construction worker, Ernes Jan Olminasan, was fatally stabbed in Villa Angela Phase II B, Subdivision Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.
Olminasan, who lived in Purok Lope Regalado, Brgy. Sta. Rosario in Binalbagan, was reportedly attacked by Mark Joseph Tupas from Hacienda Fe, Brgy. 12 in Victorias City. According to the investigation by Bacolod City Police Station 7, Olminasan had sought help from his uncle. It was then discovered that he had stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, but despite efforts to save him, he unfortunately passed away. The suspect, Tupas, fled the scene on a motorcycle with an accomplice named Aljohn Castro, who is from Cadiz City.
Currently, the authorities are actively searching for the suspects and working to determine the motive behind the crime. The case remains under investigation as police continue their efforts to locate and arrest the suspects.
