Various Christian groups expressed their frustration and condemned the upcoming movie ‘Dear Satan’ starring Paolo Contis.
Over the past few days, the upcoming movie entitled “Dear Satan” featuring Paolo Contis, Aya Fernandez, and Shienna Stevens becomes one of the most controversial topics online. The story revolves around a young girl named Chichi, who accidentally sends a letter to Satan instead of Santa Claus.
In the movie, Satan, played by Contis, initially tries to tempt Chichi but fails. Following advice to show kindness, he begins to give her gifts and ends up developing a soft spot for her.
Although the film might aim to entertain or share a message about kindness, its portrayal of Satan as a tenderhearted character is problematic.
According to Christian teachings, Satan is a deceiver with malicious intent. Presenting him as having a soft spot for children contradicts this view and could mislead viewers, particularly young ones.
