A Pinay OFW in the U.S. gained attention online after sharing photos of her challenging cleaning job in a rental RV.
Recently, the Facebook page “Pinay sa America,” shared photos of her challenging cleaning job in a rental RV. The post goes viral online and garnered various reactions from the internet users.
The post revealed the huge amount of money she earned from cleaning the incredibly dirty RV, with a whopping $2,000 (around P114,000) paid for just two days of work. While this amount may seem big when converted to pesos, the worker explained that it equates to a month’s salary for many minimum-wage earners in the U.S.
However, she emphasized that if you’re willing to do such work without being too picky, you can make a decent living in America.
The RV she cleaned was a small one-bedroom unit with a tiny living room and bathroom, but the condition it was left in was beyond belief. The worker shared that it was the first time she had ever encountered such an incredibly messy rental.
The previous tenants had lived there for a year, paying $2,500 per month (approximately P142,500). She couldn’t help but wonder how they managed to survive in such filth.
The post shows reality of earning a living abroad, also emphasized the hard work and determination required to make ends meet in a foreign land. Many netizens commented on the post, expressing a mix of admiration for her hard work and disbelief at the state of the RV.
