2-Year-Old Boy Dies After Falling into Boiling Batchoy in Carles, Iloilo
CARLES, ILOILO – A 2-year-old boy tragically lost his life after falling into a pot of boiling batchoy at their home.
The accident happened at their home in Brgy. Pantalan, while the boy’s siblings were at school and his father was at work. The child was at home with his mother, who was busy preparing batchoy to sell as part of her livelihood.
The mother had placed the pot of boiling batchoy on the ground after cooking, intending to cook fried chicken next. She briefly left the kitchen to attend to something inside the house. When she returned, she was horrified to find her young son had fallen into the pot.
