Makati took to social media to praise an Angkas driver who unexpectedly refused to accept her fare payment when she booked a ride going to school.
In a Facebook post, International Hospitality Management student Aira Artugue said her driver, Jester Carillo, did not charge her for her trip to CEU in Esteban, Legazpi Village, Makati on Saturday morning despite several attempts to pay the rider.
“As a college student na hirap na hirap na sa gastusin sa school, may mga ANGHEL talaga that are always willing to help,” Artugue said.
In the screenshot of their conversation, the driver even apologized to the student for not accepting the fare payment worth P91.
“Pasensya na po. Hindi po talaga ako tumatanggap ng bayad mula sa estudyante,” the rider said.
‘Kaya [no’ng] sinabi niyo kanina na male-late na kayo, ginawa ko po ang lahat ng kaya ko within Angkas limitations para umabot kayo sa klase,” he added.
