Carlos Yulo’s grandfather, Rodrigo Frisco, is excited for the homecoming of his Olympic double gold medalist grandson.

For the first time, the Philippines has a double gold medalist in the Olympics. Carlos Yulo brought so much pride and honor to the country with his Olympic gold wins in men’s floor exercise and vault events.

Carlos scored 15.00 in men’s floor exercise which won him an Olympic gold for the Philippines. Congratulatory messages flooded for Caloy. Following his first Olympic gold win, it was beyond the expectation of many people that he will get another gold in the same Olympics event.

A day after he won his first Paris Olympic gold medal, Caloy won in men’s vault events that got him another gold for the Philippines. He is the first Southeast Asian representative to have a back-to-back win in the Olympics.

Many people are excited for the return of the athletes who represented the country in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Based on a report on GMA News, Carlos Yulo’s grandfather, Rodrigo Frisco, is one of those who await the coming home of his Olympian grandson.

The grandfather of the Olympian expressed his congratulations to Caloy and his longing to be with him and talk to him.

“Congratulations, Caloy! Sobrang miss na miss ka na namin. Napakatagal na nating hindi nagkakasama at nakakapag-usap,” Carlos Yulo’s grandfather said.

Based on the report, a Hero’s Welcome is being prepared for the return of the 2024 Paris Olympics athletes and their coaches on Wednesday. From the Villamor Air Base, they will be brought to Malacañang to meet President Bongbong Marcos.

Marcos previously expressed that he will ask for tips from Carlos Yulo in making more Olympic medalists for the Philippines. Aside from Caloy, boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas also won the Philippines two (2) bronze medals.
