Reportedly, this is not the first time Jose Mari Chan got emotional when he sang Christmas In Our Hearts. There were videos taken during his performance in Cebu and Quezon City showing that the veteran singer-songwriter was also tearing up when he performed that said song. It was said that no one can really tell about the reason why the singer-songwriter gets emotional during performances.

With this, it was recalled that back in 2011, Jose Mari shared in an interview that for him, his songs are like his children.

“Each song of mine and for that matter each album of mine, is like a child of mine,” sabi niya. I’ve said this in the past: each child is special, as each song is special, each song is unique. When a song becomes a hit it’s like having a child that becomes successful,” he said.
