A talent revealed what a program did to him and the TV5 network has this statement regarding the allegations.
Raffy Tulfo received a call for help from a talent-researcher of a TV5 show who alleged that program manager of the News and Current Affairs department of TV5 network Cliff Gingco made offensive acts to him.
Based on a previous article, the incident between the researcher and Gingco happened at a hotel. The alleged victim was so drunk that when the alleged perpetrator did something unacceptable, he was not able to do anything to defend himself as he was so weak.
After hearing the story, Raffy Tulfo called out TV5 because of the alarming sensitive revelations. What made him angry was the allegation that the management seemed to have not done anything about the case of the researcher. His goal now is to give him justice even if this goal would cost him his job.
According to the researcher, he tried reaching out and asking help from the authorities. He went to a police station to file a case but this failed him and was even mocked. He also went to the HR of TV5 but this was not heard. The management did not do anything about this.
Amid all the issues, the network released an official statement. This came shortly after the program discussed the matter and they acknowledge the situation. Accordingly, the network is aware of the incident between the TV5 employee and TV5 independent employer.
They have already released the necessary Notice To Explain and now investigating the matter to gather facts and make the appropriate action. The network already reached out to the involved parties and assured that the rights and welfare of all involved people is protected.
