Mother of Carlos Yulo, Angelica Yulo, Apologizes To Son
ANGELICA YULO – The mother of Carlos Yulo gave a message for her son amid their personal issues going viral online.
Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo placed the Philippines on a pedestal after winning two (2) gold medals in the 2024 Olympics held in Paris, France. His first gold victory was on Saturday when he scored 15.00 in men’s floor exercise.
The Filipinos rejoiced over the victory of Yulo which brings so much pride and honor for the country. Many were stunned by his amazing performance that is really so deserving of a gold.
However, it did not end there. On Sunday, beyond his expectations, Caloy secured another gold medal for the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He won another gold in men’s vault events making him the first Filipino to win double gold medals in the Olympics.
At least Php 33 million cash rewards including a Php 6 million cash reward from the House of Representatives also await Yulo in his return to the country. Megaworld also pledged to give Yulo a multi-million condo unit.
However, as loud as his victory in the 2024 Paris Olympics are the issues between Carlos Yulo and his mother, Angelica Yulo. Caloy previously spoke to defend his girlfriend, Chloe, from his mother’s allegations that she is taking advantage of their relationship as well as money matters.
Carlos Yulo’s mother is happy over his Olympics win but refused to initiate reconciliation with her son. She denied the allegation that she overspent the money of the gymnast.
Recently, in a live posted by ABS-CBN News, Angelica Yulo gave a message for her son, Carlos Yulo. She recognized that the issue which should have remained within their family has caught the attention of the public.
Angelica stressed that both she and Caloy are not perfect. She apologized to her son over her issues with his girlfriend, Chloe. According to her, she is a mother who is hurt for the kind son she raised no longer listens to her. She stressed that she only wants the best for him.
“Hindi ako perpektong ina, at alam ng Diyos na hindi ka din perketong anak… Humihingi ako ng patawad dahil nanay lang ako na nag-aalala,” the mother of Caloy said.
On her live statement, Angelica Yulo told Carlos Yulo that the doors of their family’s home is open for him whether or not he has money if he wants to talk to her and his father. She wants the issue to be fixed with open minds.
Angelica apologized to Caloy and the Filipino citizenry for what she has said in her previous interviews. According to her, she was exhausted then as she could not sleep thinking about her son’s victory.
The mother of the Olympian stressed that she is speaking to put all the issues to rest. According to her, it may not lead to reconciliation and oneness in their family but she wants them to leave respect for each other.
