Regal Baby Ruffa Gutierrez Expresses Gratitude to Mother Lily Monteverde
RUFFA GUTIERREZ – The actress-beauty queen is mourning the death of Philippine film industry pillar Mother Lily Monteverde.
The death of Mother Lily Monteverde, one of the most popular film producers in the Philippines and truly a pillar of Regal Entertainments, left countless hearts broken. Meanwhile, a lot of stars are also left in gratitude for the big contribution of Mother Lily in their successful showbiz careers.
Actress-beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez is one of those who are mourning the death of Mother Lily Monteverde. She is one of the Regal Babies and the late film producer has played a huge role in her showbiz career and her growth as an actress.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Ruffa recalled that she has known Mother Lily for more than 39 years already. Her first time to meet the late film producer was in 1985 when she was convincing Eddie Gutierrez for a movie comeback.
Eddie Gutierrez agreed to do a comeback movie and went home to the Philippines. Like their father, several children of Eddie and talent manager Annabelle Rama also joined showbiz.
Ruffa Gutierrez is one of those who entered the entertainment field and Mother Lily Monteverde has played a huge role in mentoring her. Based on the report, the actress expressed her gratitude to the late film producer for being an instrument of the life that she is living now. She also expressed her gratitude to her for all the opportunities to grow her acting skills and for taking care of her.
“You will always have a special place in my heart. I love you, Mother. The Gutierrez family loves you. Rest easy in paradise now,” Ruffa said.
Mother Lily Monteverde died at the age of 85. Her death came six days after her husband, Remy, passed away. She is survived by her children Winston, Meme, Roselle, Dondon and Goldwin; in-laws Stephen and Grace; grandchildren Keith, Theo, Bridget, Matthew, Redwin, Jewel and Kristen; granddaughter-in-law Winni; and great-grandchild Mikayla.
The wake and memorial service for Mother Lily will start today, August 5 at 3:30 p.m. until August 9. Families, friends, and people who wants to pay their final respect to the late film icon may visit her wake at 38 Valencia Events Place in Quezon City. Mother Lily is set to be laid to her final rest on August 10 at The Heritage Park, Taguig.
