Funniest Reactions & Memes of Olympics in Paris
PARIS OLYMPIC – Here are the funniest reactions and memes of the Paris olympic events.
Olympic shooting has been a part of the Summer Games since 1896, but this year, it’s creating quite a buzz due to the diverse roster of athletes. The internet is particularly fascinated by the unique styles and personas of the shooters from various countries.
One standout is South Korean sharpshooter Kim Ye-ji, who recently won silver in the 10m air pistol women’s event. Her all-black outfit and intense gaze through her shooting glasses have led netizens to compare her to characters from sci-fi films or anime. Adding to her charm is a cute stuffed elephant toy hanging from her waist, a gift from her daughter, which softens her otherwise cool appearance.

Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikeç, at 51 years old, has also gone viral for his laid-back demeanor during the event where he won a silver medal. In contrast to Kim’s sleek look, Dikeç was seen wearing a simple white T-shirt with his country’s name, hand casually in his pocket, and no specialized gear. Memes have playfully suggested he might be an ordinary guy or a retired hitman called back into action.
Despite the internet’s playful backstory, the Associated Press clarified that Dikeç has been competing in the Olympic Shooting events since 2008.
