Angelu De Leon Finally Talks About Issue W/ Claudine Barretto
ANGELU DE LEON – Veteran actress Angelou de Leon finally spoke about her issue with Optimum star Claudine Barretto.
Angelu De Leon is a well-known Filipina actress and television personality. She rose to fame in the 1990s and has maintained a successful career in the entertainment industry for over three decades.
Angelu has made a statement regarding her issue with fellow actress Claudine Barretto. Angelu visited Fast Talk with Boy Abunda yesterday, August 1, along with her co-star Epy Quizon from the hit GMA series Pulang Araw.
Aside from discussing their characters in the said series, Boy also asked Angelu about the controversial issue between her and Claudine.
“There was this issue… Clau[dine] spoke about not wanting to work with you for some reason. And then there’s another declaration that she said he regretted it. I hope my narrative is correct. But she was trying to reach out to you…” Boy said.
He asked Angelu, “Kayo ba’y nagkausap na? Kayo ba’y nagkaayos na?”
Angelu’s response was brief. She said, “Wala pang pagkakataon pero umaasa pa rin ako na darating ‘yung panahon na ‘yon.”
It can be recalled that Claudine recently stated that she wanted to work again with Gladys Reyes and Judy Ann Santos but not with Angelu. This happened during the 20th anniversary party of Gladys and Christopher Roxas in January 2024.
Meanwhile, in April 2024, Claudine said in the vlog of showbiz vlogger and talent manager Ogie Diaz that she regretted what she had said about Angelu.
Angelu and Claudine were batchmates in the youth-oriented show Ang TV. Angelu can be seen as Carmela Borromeo in Pulang Araw, weeknights at 8:00 p.m. on GMA Prime.
