Farmer & His Carabao in Nueva Ecija Died After Struck by Lightning

Recently, a farmer and his buffalo lost their lives after being struck by lightning while harvesting rice. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to reports, the farmer had gone to the field to collect harvested rice when the accident happened. As he was working, lightning struck, causing him to fall from his cart. His carabao, which was pulling the cart, was also hit by the lightning.
Fortunately, another farmer who was with him survived the ordeal.
In a separate incident in Pandag, Maguindanao del Sur, a woman was killed by lightning while traveling with a companion. The two were caught in a heavy downpour and took shelter under a waiting shed at Kayaga Elementary School.
Unfortunately, lightning struck the shed, resulting in the woman’s death and leaving her companion in critical condition. Local residents rushed the injured companion to the hospital, but the woman did not survive.
These incidents reminds us of the dangers of lightning strikes, especially during severe weather conditions. It shows the importance of seeking safe shelter during storms and being cautious in inclement weather.
