Sa buong Luzon makakaranas pa din tayo ng maulap na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkulog at pagkidlat,” Villamil said.

Heavy to intense monsoon rains with at times torrential rains are expected over Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.

Occasional rains from moderate to heavy with at times intense are expected over Bataan, Zambales, Pampanga, and Benguet.

“Mas maaliwalas na panahon ang ating mararanasan sa Visayas at Mindanao,” Villamil added.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to heavy to intense monsoon rains with at times torrential rains and severe thunderstorms.

The weather agency is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) some 1,035 kilometers east of southeastern Mindanao. The LPA has a slim chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 24-48 hours.

The coastal water condition over the northern and western sections of Luzon, Visayas and the rest of Luzon as well as Mindanao will be moderate to rough, according to PAGASA.
