Class Suspensions for Thursday (July 25, 2024) Due to Typhoon Carina and Habagat
WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions due to the effects of heavy rains.
Due to the heavy rains and strong winds brought by the southwest monsoon (Habagat), which has been intensified by Typhoon Carina, many areas across Luzon will have no classes and government work on Thursday (July 25, 2024).
The weather has caused massive flooding in various parts of the country, leading to the suspension of activities to ensure everyone’s safety.
Authorities have announced that classes will be suspended in various regions to ensure safety and allow families to prepare for any necessary adjustments.

National Capital Region (Metro Manila)
- Caloocan City
- Las Piñas City
- Makati City
- Malabon City
- Mandaluyong City
- Manila City (including state universities and colleges)
- Marikina City
- Muntinlupa City
- Navotas City
- Parañaque City
- Pasay City
- Pasig City
- Pateros
- Quezon City
- San Juan City
- Taguig City
- Valenzuela City
Region III (Central Luzon)
- Aurora
- Bataan
- Bulacan
- Nueva Ecija
- Pampanga
- Tarlac
- Zambales
Region IV-A (Calabarzon)
- Batangas
- Cavite
- Laguna
- Quezon
- Rizal
Region I
- La Union
- Pangasinan
Cordillera Administrative Region
- Baguio City
- La Trinidad, Benguet
Senate: Work is suspended on Thursday and Friday. Employees who need to work will get overtime pay or compensatory time off. Regular work will start again on Monday, July 29, 2024.
House of Representatives: Work is also suspended, but essential services will continue.
“This is to allow a thorough and unimpeded check and clean-up of Senate facilities and to allow employees who may have been affected by the heavy rains/flood to attend to their urgent concerns,” Secretary of the Senate Atty. Renato Bantug Jr.
