Jennylyn Mercado was asked about her contract with GMA
Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado reacted to the rumors that she received offers from other networks.
It was rumored last March that Jennylyn would transfer to ABS-CBN after it was reported that she has a project with Star Music, the music label of the Kapamilya network. However, early this July, a person from ABS-CBN debunked the network transfer rumors as it was said that no other projects were offered to her.
Just recently, Jennylyn spoke about the contract she has with GMA, her home network since she started her career in showbiz.
She said that her GMA contract is still under negotiation. In a recent interview, based on the video on the GMA Entertainment site, Jennylyn Mercado once again said that they are waiting for the contract and that she is happy to remain as a Kapuso as long as the network wants her.
The first StarStruck Female Ultimate Survivor also clarified that there were no offers from other networks. During the interview, Jennylyn said that for now, she is a freelance artist but there is an ongoing negotiation between her and GMA.
Meanwhile, Jennylyn was not able to attend the GMA Gala 2024 and intrigues surfaced that she has “tampo” to her home network. However, it was clarified by her glam team that the actress had an emergency. Her son Jazz was sick and she chose to be a mother rather than a celebrity at that time.
After the Kapuso event, the Ultimate Star shared a video of her having her photoshoot wearing the gown that she was supposed to wear for the gala. She channeled her inner supermodel for the photoshoot.
As of this writing, Jennylyn Mercado has not shared any update yet about her contract with GMA.
