What’s the truth about the rumored project of Jennylyn Mercado with ABS-CBN?
A person from ABS-CBN spoke about the rumored network transfer of Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado.
Jennylyn is one of the homegrown talents of GMA. She started her career in showbiz after winning the Starstruck Ultimate Female Survivor in the Kapuso talent search. From that, she explored many possibilities when it comes to her career.
Aside from acting, Jennylyn also ventured into music. She released songs and showcased her singing prowess in different shows.

Last March, she was seen working with Star Music, the music company under ABS-CBN. With this, rumors surfaced that she would be transferring to the Kapamilya network.
Amid the issue, Jennylyn Mercado maintained her silence. Just recently, the issue was recalled when netizens noticed that the actress did not appear in GMA’s station ID. A netizen asked Jennylyn’s husband actor Dennis Trillo about this through a comment on a TikTok post.
The actor’s account had a fiery response to this. He wrote, “May ABS pa ba?” this garnered criticism from the online community but his management released a statement saying that the actor’s TikTok account was hacked.
Following this, Jennylyn shared a meaningful post reminding the public of the important values in life.
The rumored network transfer of the Kapuso actress was discussed by talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz in a recent episode of his Showbiz Update vlog. “May nakausap ako from ABS-CBN na Star Music lang talaga at hindi nila naisip na kunin si Jennylyn,” he shared.
Ogie’s source said that ABS-CBN and GMA have a friendship between them and it is not a good thing that if Jennylyn is no longer in the Kapuso network, the Kapamilya network would just grab her.

The person from the Kapamilya network also pointed out that the possible thing that can happen is a collaboration, just like what happened to the series Unbreak My Heart that was shown on GMA but featured Kapamilya stars Joshua Garcia and Jodi Sta Maria.
Ogie also mentioned that rumor has it that Dreamscape Entertainment offered a project to Jennylyn Mercado. “Wala raw ganu’n, walang alukang nangyari,” the talent manager-vlogger stressed, adding that Dreamscape would not do this because of the respect it has toward GMA.
“Kung sakaling may banggaan ang GMA at si Jennylyn ay hindi sasawsaw ang ABS,” Ogie Diaz said.
