Recently, Icel Pangilinan, Facebook user, shared photos of the pancit palabok they ordered through an online delivery service. The post quickly went viral on social media, drawing various reactions from netizens.

In the photos, the packaging of the food appeared to be in good condition, and the meal looked appetizing. Pangilinan and their companions were excited when the order arrived, enticed by the delicious aroma of the food.

However, their excitement turned to horror when they opened the container and found an unusual object among the noodles. Initially, the customer mistaken it for a piece of squid but realized that it was a cockroach.

Pangilinan messaged the Facebook page not to discredit the food store but to remind businesses in the food industry to be extra careful when preparing meals.

“Sa mga nag mmsg d’yan, na nilagay ko daw ipis. Kaloka kayo wait nyo lang CCTV. Hindi ako nagsasayang ng pera para maglagay ng IPIS sa pagkaen!!” she said.

The lady customer stated that they tried reaching out to the food store through phone calls and messages on the store’s official social media page but received no response. The delivery service that brought the food has since issued a refund for their order.

Despite the refund, Pangilinan emphasized that they were not seeking compensation but rather an apology from the food store. The incident shows the importance of maintaining high standards in food preparation to avoid such experiences for customers.
