Here’s the comeback project of Julia Montes which will be shown on primetime.
ABS-CBN actress Julia Montes will make a comeback through “Saving Grace”, the PH adaptation of Japan’s “Mother”.
The popular Japanese drama series “Mother” was first aired on Nippon TV in 2010. The story revolved around a struggling elementary teacher who took a first-grade pupil with her. This is after believing that the pupil was abused by her own parents. They escaped town and pretended like mother and daughter.
This risky journey that started from an impulsive maternal instinct turned to become a national manhunt for the child.
This year, the 11th mother is said to grace the televisions again and this time around, it’s the Philippines adaptation. The 11th mother is ABS-CBN actress Julia Montes which will also mark her comeback in the primetime.
Cory Vidanes, chief operating officer of ABS-CBN, said that this is their “very first adaptation of a Nippon TV series” and they are grateful for their trust. They promise a series that will center around family and motherhood that heartwarming and emotionally-engaging. The PH adaptation will be called “Saving Grace”.
This popular Japanese series is Asia’s most exported scripted format and was already adapted in countries such as Turkey, South Korea, Ukraine, Thailand, China, France, Spain, Mongolia, and Saudi Arabia.
To recall, the last TV appearance of Montes was in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” with her real-life boyfriend Coco Martin.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, in what seemingly like a slip of the tongue incident, Willie Revillame mentioned Coco and Julia’s children. This incident revived the rumors about them with two children now, the same rumors they refuse to address for many years now.
It was also noted from the game show host’s statement that he expressed “mga anak” which means they have more than one children. Some said that this is already an open secret but some leave it to couple to confirm this at the time when they would feel it’s right.
