Maris Racal has confirmed she and Rico Blanco have broken up and the latter has this new post.
OPM icon Rico Blanco has this post hours after Maris Racal confirmed their split and people online flooded him with questions and comments.
Maris Racal, the “Marupok AF” actress, confirmed that she and Rico Blanco have separated after five years of being together. She eventually got tired of smiling and nodding whenever someone asks her about him when, on the other side of it all, it’s all over between them.
Maris and Rico’s split happened a few weeks ago and in her life, those were her emptiest and loneliest weeks.
“Rico and I are over,” she said while tearing up in a voice where pain is felt and loud cries are heard in silence to probably maintain her composure in front of other people. To recall, Racal and Blanco first announced their relationship in 2021.
She was going through some changes and somewhere in this personal journey of hers, she left him. The separation was with politeness, love, and understanding. She was even willing to take the punches from the people and plead to spare him the criticism.
Maris also clarified that Anthony Jennings is not involved in their split. Her love team with Jennings clicked and rose to popularity but he is not in any involve with their split.
Now, amid the buzz regarding their split, Rico shared a post. In her post, a caption said, “You’re finally ready for the world to hear the track you’ve been working on for the last 5 months.”
He then played the intro of their famous song “Kisapmata” to which his followers taken as a hint that is associated with their split. “Kisapmata” means something happened instantly or suddenly.
Is this about their relationship that happened instantly or ended suddenly? These were the questions of some of his followers. One commenter even said, “Nitong umaga lang…nag announce si maris 😭😭😭 yung lovestory niyo parang KISAPMATA wag naman 😭😭”
