Kapuso Actress Bea Alonzo Speaks on Statement about Breakup with Dominic Roque
BEA ALONZO – The Kapuso actress clarified why she revealed that she was not the one who initiated her breakup with Dominic Roque.
BeaDom’s separation is one of those that did not only sadden countless people most especially their fans and supporters but as well as shocked. Bea and Dominic were engaged when they broke up and they were together for more than three years already.
Living celebrity lives, it is no secret to the public that Bea and Dominic started as friends. They hanged out with other celebrities until a romantic relationship blossomed between them.
It was in August 2021 when the actress confirmed her relationship with the actor. It brought joy, romantic excitement, and inspiration to many people especially her fans and supporters. Many people were happy for the then-celebrity couple.
As a couple, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque traveled abroad including a trip to Italy and Switzerland in 2022. The engagement rumors surrounded their relationship starting June 2023, they were two years together then.
In July 2023, during an event which Bea thought to be a photoshoot for the GMA Gala, Dominic proposed for marriage to her. The engagement was set by the actor at Las Casas in Quezon City and they got engaged in front of their immediate families.
In September 2023, the engaged couple traveled to Europe and they also sealed a love padlock during a Winter holiday in Japan last December 2023. However, what came unexpected to the public was when breakup rumors crossed the surface in January 2024.
A few weeks since the breakup rumors were out, through a joint statement posted on their social media accounts last February 11, 2024, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque confirmed their breakup.
Both Bea and Dominic were mum on the reason behind their separation. Dominic was accused of being a cheater and there were also questions about his gender preference. The actress also had her share of bashing from some netizens.
A few weeks ago, during an interview with Nelson Canlas, Bea Alonzo claimed that she did not initiate her breakup with Dominic Roque. However, she refused to speak further on their separation citing her respect to what they had. Her revelation gained different reactions from the netizens.
During her recent guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Bea Alonzo clarified whey she revealed that she did not initiate her breakup with Dominic Roque. According to the Kapuso actress, during the 24 Oras interview with Nelson, she really did not intend to talk about their breakup as she wanted to respect their relationship.
However, they touched the part of a fake news that she was the one who broke up with him and she really felt comfortable during their interview that it did not feel like there was a camera. When Nelson raised that she was the one who initiated the breakup, it was like an instinct to her to correct it but she really did not have the attention to talk about it,
During the interview, Bea said that she and Dominic really tried to work things out and it was a long process until the decision to part ways eventually became mutual. From what happened, the Kapuso actress determined how resilient she can be.
Dominic Roque was asked about Bea’s claim that she did not initiate their breakup. Currently, both of the former couple are focusing on their work and family.
