Furparent Finds Lost Dog After 7 Years Since It Went Missing
LOST DOG – A pup named Ruger is reunited with his real owner after seven (7) years since he unexpectedly went missing.
There are countless dog lovers across the globe. In fact, in many homes, dogs are considered like children. Their needs are a priority and they are being loved so much by the family. Thus, losing them is devastating and that is what happened to Brittany Simpson and her family.
Brittany Simpson had a puppy named Ruger. However, unexpectedly, based on an article on Pep, Ruger went missing and his family thought that it was a case of dognapping. The dog was playing at the frontyard of their house when it suddenly went missing.
Brittany and her family looked for Ruger for a month. They also took to social media announcements about their lost dog in the pursuit to find him. They physically went around to look for the pup.
However, to no avail, they did not find Ruger. Their announcements on social media were also unable to find a lead that could point them to where their lost dog was then. The pup had a microchip so he can easily be returned to them.
Seven years passed that Brittany and her family were not able to see Ruger. They did not expect to find him again but unexpected happens. Based on the article, last June 2024, while Brittany was browsing on social media, she came across a photo of a dog that made her heart skip a beat.
The dog in the said photo posted on Facebook looked very similar to Ruger. It was posted by a netizen behind the user handle Rebecca Latimer and the photo was posted on Amarillo Pet Lost and Found’s Facebook page.
According to Rebecca, she just found the dog in the past few hours when she made the post on social media. She called for the people who have generous hearts and can help the dog.
Rebecca said she gave him a bath and some balm on his nose but he was shivering and scared. The dog also has a fever and skin infection and needed to see a veterinarian. She described the dog as “sweet”.
Brittany Simpson remembered her lost dog Ruger and, with a different feeling, commented on the post to know where the dog is. She immediately came to the veterinary clinic where the dog was brought.
It was confirmed that the dog found by Rebecca was the lost dog of Brittany based on the microchip. Based on the article, Ruger was able to go home to his real family. He was uncomfortable at first but it did not take long before he felt at home.
