Mayor Reprimands Two Youths for Throwing Chairs at Basketball Game

Two Teens Who Threw Chairs at Basketball Game Reprimanded by Mayor

Mayor Ruffy Biazon reprimands two individuals who threw chairs at the La Liga de Muntinlupa Basketball Tournament.

On July 5, 2024 (Friday), a basketball game that started as fun and peaceful turned chaotic when several audiences rushed toward the referee, accusing him of making bad calls. Things got worse when some people threw plastic chairs at the referee.

By July 9, Mayor Biazon had tracked down the two young men who threw the chairs. He decided to teach them a valuable lesson and called them in for a serious talk.

Biazon told them to apologize to the organizing committee and the officials. As a punishment for their violent actions, he have given them community service to make up for what they did to the people of Muntinlupa.

The two teens met with Mayor Biazon and apologized for throwing chairs during the championship game of the inter-barangay basketball tournament.

The politician talked to them about their actions and told them to change and keep their tempers in check. Acting tough is useless, especially if they encounter someone tougher or more ruthless. They’re only risking their own safety.
