PAGASA Says Easterlies to Bring Rainshowers Over Parts of the Country

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies would bring rain showers over parts of the country.

On Monday (July 8, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas will have rain showers on Monday due to the easterlies.

“At yung prevailing weather system ngayon sa ating bansa ay yung easterlies ito ang magdadala ng mas malaking tsansa ng mga pag-ulan partikular na sa may silangang bahagi ng ating bansa, ito yung area ng Isabela, Cagayan, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, at Davao,”  Badrina said.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

No weather disturbance is being monitored in and out of the Philippine area of Responsibility.

Base sa ating mga local satellite images, wala tayong minomonitor na mga tropical cyclone, wala rin tayong bagyo, wala rin tayong low-pressure area na inaasahang mabuo o papasok sa PAR in the next two to three days,” he added.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate.

PAGASA did not raise a gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards.
