Actor-director Xian Lim wrote an appreciation post for his girlfriend Iris Lee and this is what the latter replied to this.
“Kuman Thong” is a film that is written and directed by Xian Lim. The movie had just its red carpet premiere and during this event, Xian attended with producer and his girlfriend, Iris Lee.
Last May, Xian confirmed that he is dating Iris which was almost five months after his split with actress Kim Chiu has been confirmed.
In a previous article, the couple made their first official public appearance together at the said red-carpet premiere of the horror film on Monday at SM Cinemas in North Edsa, Quezon City. In a post, the actor expressed his appreciation for his current girlfriend.
He called his girlfriend a “talented, overly passionate human being”. He even added that to say that she is hardworking is an understatement after seeing the effort she put in all of her projects.
“Our [movie] would not be the way it is now if it weren’t for you juggling the logistics in the [Philippines] and [Thailand] plus the creative side of Kumanthong,” he added. The movie is co-written by Xian and Iris with the latter standing as the creative consultant as well.
Replying to this, Iris also has nothing but praises and positive words for her boyfriend.
In the comment section, she replied saying, “Nailuwal nating lahat ang baby mo because of your infectious creative energy and childlike enthusiasm. Ang saya lang gumawa ng pelikula with you, despite any struggle. You are a true leader and artist. Keep on shining Direk [Xian] ! To more magic together.”
Meanwhile, their film was shot entirely in Thailand. “Kuman Thong”, in Thai Folk religion, is also called as Black Magic Baby. This is believed to bring luck to its owner but in this film, instead of bringing her child back, the events had a pretty scary turn.
