PAGASA Says ITCZ and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that ITCZ and easterlies will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Wednesday (June 26, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Mindanao while the easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country.

“The easterlies affects Luzon, while the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ bring cloudy skies with chances of rains in parts of Visayas and Mindanao,” said Badrina.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, and Quezon. The ITCZ will bring similar weather conditions over the Caraga and Davao Region.
Possible flash floods or landslides are expected in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas. The ITCZ will bring similar weather to the remaining parts of Mindanao.
Metro Manila as well as the rest of Luzon and the Visayas will have fair weather except for chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
The weather agency reported that no tropical cyclones are expected to form or enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be slight to moderate. PAGASA did not raise a gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards.
