Actress Nadia Montenegro Speaks on Youngest Child Sophia
NADIA MONTENEGRO – The veteran actress took swipe at the biological father of her youngest daughter, Sophia.
One of the popular actresses who is in the Philippine showbiz industry for decades now is Nadia Montenegro. She played roles in countless television series and movies. Among these are Dyesebel in 1990 and Ang Probinsyano in 2015.
In real-life, Nadia had decades-long relationship with the late former Caloocan Mayor Boy Asistion. He served as the mayor of Caloocan from 1962 to 1971. He is known to have several children in different women.
Boy died last Februrary 6, 2017 at the age of 80 years old. He was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the Metro Antipolo Hospital and Medical Center and fell into a comatose state before he passed away. He had several health complications prior to his death.
Boy Asistio had eight children with Nadia Montenegro. Now, it is no secret to the public that he is not the biological father of the actress’ youngest daughter but he has treated her like his own. In a recent interview with Julius Babao for his vlog, the veteran actress said that her daughter is not interested to have a relationship with her biological father.
“Isang beses pa lang sila nagkita tapos biglang inanounce na agad. So asan dun ang intensyon mo, magkaroon ng relationship o gusto mo ng views?” the veteran actress said.
Nadia Montenegro also took swipe at the real father of her youngest daughter telling him that he must place his intention in the right place. According to her, as of now, her daughter does not want to see her father.
“Ayaw na ng anak ko. Give me a reason why. Are you even worth it to be called a dad?” Nadia said.
There are rumors that Baron Geisler is the father of Nadia’s youngest child. Amid the decade-long speculations, the actor previously admitted that he has a daughter with an actress.
During the vlog interview, Nadia Montenegro stressed that what happened to her life 17 or 18 years ago was kept from the public but not from her family. She revealed that even her late husband, Boy, knew about it.
“Hindi ko ito itinago sa mga taong dapat nakakaalam… Hindi ko rin ito itinago sa mga mahal ko sa buhay. Hindi ko itinago sa anak ko. Hindi ko itinago kay Boy,” she said.
Nadia expressed her belief that she does not owe anyone an explanation. She stressed that she has asked forgiveness from God and she and Boy were okay when he passed away.
