Jak Roberto spoke about Barbie Forteza and David Licauco’s loveteam
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, the girlfriend of actor Jak Roberto, has a rising onscreen partnership with actor David Licauco.
The loveteam culture in the Philippine entertainment industry is a successful formula for many artists. It is also inevitable that loveteam partners will fall in love with each other and true relationships are being formed behind the camera.
However, in Barbie and David’s case, what they have is a plain onscreen partnership because the actress has been in a relationship with Jak for many years now.
When the BarDa loveteam emerged, netizens commended how Jak Roberto handled this. Because of his “nonchalant” reaction, netizens jokingly asked how they can enroll in his “anti-selos” class. Barbie Forteza was also asked if her real-life boyfriend would get jealous of her loveteam partner. The actress received this kind of question countless times already to the point that she got tired of hearing the repetitive “selos” question.
In a recent interview on the Kapuso morning variety show TiktoClock, based on the article in Bandera, guests were asked if they will have an OA (over acting) or nonchalant “selos” reaction if their partner has a beautiful or handsome workmate.
Jak highlighted the value of trust and communication between the couple. “Base sa experience ko, walang selosan sa ganyan. Kung confident ka naman and you have trust sa partner mo, ‘di ba? Wala kang dapat ikatakot. Wala ka dapat ika-worry,” he said.
Previously, Jak said in an interview last year that he and Barbie understand each other’s work and their love life is not mixed with it. Even back then, the actor stressed that there is no “selos” between them because of the trust and respect they have for each other. “Walang selos-selos, basta go, trabaho lang. We’re all professionals,” Jak Roberto said.
