Woman Praised Online for Helping Ease Car Heat by Placing Cardboard on Windshields
A woman has earned admiration from netizens for placing cardboard on car windshields to alleviate the heat inside vehicles.
In the Philippines, there are individuals commonly known as “illegal parking attendants” who operate informally in various urban areas. These attendants typically position themselves near busy locations such as malls, markets, or popular dining spots where parking is limited.
They offer to guide drivers into parking spaces or help them park in exchange for a fee. However, these attendants are not authorized by local authorities or parking management services.
Their activities often involve occupying public spaces without permission and charging fees from motorists. Sometimes, they also use makeshift signs or cones to reserve parking spots, which can mislead drivers into thinking they are paying for legitimate parking services.
Recently, a TikTok user Nikki Joyce shared a video showing the woman in action, placing cardboard on cars parked outside a fast-food chain. The post quickly went viral and sparked various reactions online.
In the video, the woman can be seen placing cardboard on the windshields of cars parked at Mang Inasal Sogod. She does this to reduce the heat inside the cars.

However, it’s not clear why she does this, perhaps it’s her livelihood. By placing cardboard, the woman may be receiving a small amount of money.
