YouTube Vlogger Viy Cortez Reveals How She Deals with Negative Comments
VIY CORTEZ – The YouTube content creator-vlogger reacted to negative and below-the-belt comments from her bashers on social media.
There are individuals who gained fame in the Philippines through their successful YouTube channels that hooked millions of subscribers. Among these people are Cong and Viy whose wedding was recently held.
After several years of being together, Cong TV and Viy Cortez officially tied the knot at L’Annunziata Parish in Muntinlupa City. Their lavish wedding reception gathered their guests at the grand ballroom of the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
Cong and Viy got engaged in 2022, a few months after she gave birth to their eldest son, Zeus Emmanuel or more popularly called Kidlat. Undeniably, the success of Cong and Viy as content creators as well as their relationship have inspired a lot of people.
However, like any other famous personality, Viy Cortez also has her own fair share of critics. In an exclusive interview with Pep, she revealed that she has also encountered several bashing most especially with regards to her looks.
According to Viy, she experienced bullying since she was a kid and she does not anymore let it affect her. She stressed that she’s very happy in her life now and she has accepted that not everyone will like her and there is nothing that she needs to prove.
“Hindi ka talaga magugustuhan ng lahat ng tao. Hindi lahat ng tao magagandahan sa iyo. Hindi lahat ng tao gusto ka, so hayaan mo na,” Viy said.
Among the moments when her approach in handling negative criticisms was tested was when she was pregnant with Kidlat in mid-2022. Based on the article, Viy Cortez stressed that she is ready to go through it again as she is looking forward to her second pregnancy.
“”Ang taba, ang itim ng mga leeg, alam mo yun? Tanggap ko siya… “Lagi ko nga sinasabi, e, kung yung dati kong itsura, ang magiging itsura ko ulit sa pagdadala ng magiging supling namin ni Cong, okay lang,” the vlogger said.
Viy Cortez stressed that when you come to accept the things that some people may take negatively against you, they can never be used against you. She added that in case she will get pregnant again, she can always work it out to get back in shape after the pregnancy.
The vlogger is undeniably unfazed with what the world may say as long as her now-husband, Cong TV, and their son, Kidlat, find her beautiful.
“Kahit siya [Kidlat] lang magsabi sa akin ng maganda, silang dalawa lang ni Cong, tapos the rest ng lahat na nasa social media, ‘ang panget ko, chaka, mabantot,’ okay lang,” she said.
