PAGASA Says Habagat to Prevail Over Most Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that southwest monsoon will prevail over most parts of the country.
On Thursday (June 20, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Habagat will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
“Itong Central Visayas, Western Visayas at kasama na rin po ang buong Mindanao ay makakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorms,” said Aurelio.
Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, Central Visayas, Western Visayas, and Mindanao.
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and the rest of MIMAROPA.
“Samantala ang Eastern Visayas makakaranas ng fair weather pero may tiyansa pa rin ng mga isolated na pag-ulan,” Aurelio explained.
Fair weather is expected over Eastern Visayas. The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over the remaining parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
Aurelio also reported that no cyclones or low-pressure areas are expected to form in and around the Philippine area of responsibility until the weekend.

- Metro Manila: 25 to 34°C
- Baguio City: 18 to 26 °C
- Laoag City: 25 to 33°C
- Tuguegarao: 25 to 35°C
- Legazpi City: 25 to 33 °C
- Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 °C
- Tagaytay: 24 to 32 °C
- Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 32 °C
- Iloilo City: 26 to 31 °C
- Cebu: 25 to 31 °C
- Tacloban City: 25 to 32 °C
- Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 31 °C
- Zamboanga City: 24 to 31 °C
- Davao City: 25 to 31 °C
