Genuine philanthropy or self-serving publicity? Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador face criticism online.
Social media influencers Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador scolded a staff in Coron and forced her to make public apology?
“Dear Rosemar at team Malakas, Ginamit nyo lang mga taga-Coron para sa mga vlog vlog nyo at socmed… dismayado dahil naghintay sila ng isang oras at gutom… at lalong ginamit niyo mga staff para mag assist sa inyo tapos Wala kayong inabot kahit singkong duling! Kayo ba naman nagpa laro ng bring Me pustiso Hindi niyo nga hinawakan?”
This is a post that has been taken down already by the one who posted it named Jho Cayabyab Trinidad. She is a municipal staff and her post criticizing Team Malakas and Labador seemed to have run out the patience of Tan and Labador.
She appeared in front of the two social media influencers and right there and then, received complaints from them with raised voices. Rosmar said, “Pumunta kami dito para mag-enjoy, tapos ang gagawin ibabash pa kami.”
Labador, who was pointing fingers at the female municipal staff, was recorded saying this to her, “Ikaw yon, ikaw yon? Halika dito. Ano bang ipinagmamalaki mo?”
He also accused the woman of reacting this way because she never got anything from them to which the woman refuted calmly. The social media influencers recently visited the Coron, Palawan for their relief mission. Apart from helping people, Rendon also expressed that they were there to promote the town.
The female staff was calm in the said encounter with the content creators who, at that moment, were on top of their intense emotions and projecting it all to the staff who cannot even respond because of their straight, non-stop attacks through their words.

Later in, both parties agreed for the staff to apologize publicly through a video and this sparked mixed reactions online. Coron Vice Mayor Asian Palanca commended Trinidad for her humility while other people lambasted the two influencers who managed the situation in a disappointing manner.
Many were dismayed on how they conducted themselves and how they use their influence. This sparked doubt among some people online over the sincerity of the two in their philanthropical acts.
