In an Instagram post, Clavio shared that the stroke is due to the slight bleed bleeding in the left part of his brain. This was his miracle and one of his takeaways from this experience is that feeling okay doesn’t mean you’re okay.
Arnold Clavio Survives Hemorrhagic Stroke, Now Recovering
Seasoned broadcaster Arnold Clavio now recovering from stroke.
In an Instagram post, Kapuso broadcaster Arnold Clavio detail a recent health scare where he suffered from stroke and now recovering.
It’s a miracle from God.
This is how Arnold Clavio described after surviving a near-death experience. He suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke caused by a “slight bleeding” in the left part of his brain. He shared a video during his stay in the hospital and added how a day, he thought was just going to be simple, became life-changing.
On June 11, while on his way home from Eastridge Golf Course, he felt numbness in his right arm and leg and this numbness made him not feel the pedal for gas and brake. He felt nothing at all. He struggled to walk properly and even had to take a moment to check himself for any signs of stroke.
“Huminto ako sa isang gasoline station para i-check ang sarili ko. Papunta ng restroom, hindi na ako makalakad. Kailangan ko na may mahawakan. Agad kong tiningnan ang sarili ko sa salamin kung tabingi ba ang mukha ko o maga ang mata ko. Wala naman, kaya balik na ako sa sasakyan,” he further shared.
And this was his mistake. He stopped by at the first hospital he saw which was the Fatima University Medical Center. After the assessment, it was found out that his blood pressure (BP) was 220/120 and his blood sugar reached 270.
The hemorrhagic stroke was discovered after a series of tests and for further observation, he was sent to St. Luke’s Hospital. This experience taught him that “feeling good does not mean good,” as he thanked the Lord for a miracle.
He also added that hypertension is a traitor. This miracle made him learn to always listen to the body, a note he also shared to the people as he personally experienced the danger.
