5-Month-Old Infant in Bohol Dies in Motorcycle Accident
MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT – A five-month-old infant died in a tragic motorcycle accident in Calape, Bohol.

On Thursday (June 13, 2024), a baby riding on a motorcycle with their mother passed away in a motorcycle accident.
According to the police investigation, the mother and infant unexpectedly swerved into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with another motorcycle driven by a man in Barangay Calunasan.
The strong impact caused them to crash into a tricycle as well. All individuals involved sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Unfortunately, despite efforts to save the young life, the 5-month-old infant, who was riding on the first motorcycle, did not survive the grave injuries sustained in the collision.
While the mother and the other motorcycle driver were able to receive treatment for their wounds, the loss of the innocent child has left the community in mourning. The motorcycle rider that collided with the woman and infant now faces potential charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, physical injury, and damage to property.
The incident reminds Filipino motorists to exercise caution and responsible driving practices, especially when transporting vulnerable passengers such as infants or young children.
