Bride Expresses Disappointment After Wedding Turns Into Nightmare
WEDDING MISHAP – A frustrated bride has expressed her disappointment over the mishaps that happened on her wedding day.
Recently, Janine Seit Suelto-Sagario, a Facebook user, shared her frustrations after her wedding day turned into a nightmare. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from netizens.
The bride shared that the wedding was originally scheduled at 8:00 AM on June 8, 2024 (Saturday). The bride and groom, along with their families and friends, had been eagerly awaiting this moment.
However, at the last minute, on June 7, 2024, at 11:00 PM, one of their “ninangs” (godmother) came to their house with distressing news. The convent staff had informed her that the wedding had been rescheduled from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
Despite the late notice, the couple quickly informed both sides of the family and the wedding entourage about the change. They even felt a bit relieved, thinking they had extra time to prepare and wouldn’t need to rush.
The next morning, they arrived at the church at 8:45 AM, believing they were early and had allowed themselves some extra time to get ready.
They were greeted with reprimands from the church staff for being an hour late. The staff insisted that the wedding was still set for 8:00 AM and not the rescheduled 9:30 AM they had been told.
The couple were not given a chance to explain their side of the story. As the bride stood at the entrance of the church, she was met with a harsh scolding, and the mass began without her even making it to the altar.
The bride almost slipped in her rush to get inside, which was especially dangerous as she was pregnant and due to give birth soon. Janine felt pain, disappointment, and embarrassment.
When she finally reached the altar, the priest also scolded her, assuming they were late because she might have given birth. The devastated groom shed tears after the ceremony because of the embarrassment they had endured.
