Man Shot in Bacoor, Cavite Due to Hostile Look at Suspect
A man was shot in Bacoor, Cavite, due to a misunderstanding; miraculously, the victim survived the incident.
Bacoor City Police Station deputy chief Police Major Renalyn Lim reported that the shooting occurred in front of a store, where the victim was standing. The suspect passed by on his motorcycle and noticed the victim giving him a hostile look.
Without hesitation, the suspect get off from his motorcycle and fired at the victim. The victim miraculously survived but suffered gunshot wounds in right arm and left leg.

“Sa may harap ng tindahan, ‘yung victim ay nandoon, biglang dumaan doon si suspek. Nakita ni suspek na nakatingin nang masama sa kaniya si victim, bigla itong bumaba sa sinasakyan niyang motor at pinaputukan niya si victim,” said Lim.
After the initial shooting, the suspect attempted to fire again but the gun jammed. The victim sought help from the store owner after being shot.
“Humingi ng tulong itong si victim doon sa may-ari ng tindahan pagkabaril sa kaniya… After niyang mabaril itong si victim, pumunta siya doon sa pinaka-leader nila, doon sa kabalikat, doon siya nag-ano… parang sumuko na,” added Lim.
The victim is currently in stable condition under the custody of the Bacoor Police, while the suspect remains detained.
“Binaril ko ho siya kasi binunutan ho niya ako ng baril, inagaw ko, kaysa ako ‘yung mamatay, ipinutok ko sa kaniya. Pag-agaw ko pinutok ko na agad, kaysa ako ang mamatay kawawa naman ang anak ko. Eh sila wala naman siyang pamilya, wala siyang anak. Tambay lang lagi sila diyan sa amin,” the suspect explained.
The suspect has been inquested and charged with violations under the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition and for Frustrated Murder. The authorities are still investigating the shooting incident.
