This is the first action drama role for Jodi Sta Maria and this is what she shared about this and her role.
ABS-CBN artist Jodi Sta Maria shares the preparations she did for her drama action role in the upcoming series “Lavender Fields”.
One of the finest actresses of today is Jodi Sta Maria. In the past years, she has done several series and most of them ran successfully. The last one she did was the GMA and ABS-CBN project “Unbreak My Heart” in 2023 with Joshua Garcia, Richard Yap, and Gabbi Garcia.
“Unbreak My Heart” concluded in November last year. This year, the actress is coming back to primetime in the upcoming series “Lavender Fields”.
This is the newest project of the 2022 Asian Academy Creative Awards’ Best Actress which will be produced by Dreamscape Entertainment. In this new series, she will be working alongside some of the biggest stars of the industry such as Jericho Rosales, Janine Gutierrez, Edu Manzano, Maricel Soriano, Lotlot de Leon, and Albert Martinez.
Speaking about this new project, she shared that this is going to be her first time to do an action drama role and she is actually doing the titular role. Her role in this series could revolve around distrust, the other meaning of lavender.
She both feeling nervous and pressured doing this project but what made her say yes to this are also those things mentioned. She still gets this urge and encouragement to do the role where she will be challenged. She is also excited with the pool of actors she is going to be working with.
“These are excellent actors, ‘yun pa ‘yung lalong mas nagpapa-excite na makasama and hindi lang sa craft nila eh, mabubuting tao ‘tong mga makakasama ko. Pressure, yes. Kasi bago, hindi ito ang comfort zone ko, ang gagaling ng mga artistang makakasama ko,” she said.
A part of her preparation for her next role is working out three times a week. Just like with her previous roles, she is committed to this one. She is always fully committed to the projects given to her.
