72-Year-Old Grandpa in Aklan Proves Age Is Just a Number

SENIOR CITIZEN – A 72-year-old grandpa in Batan, Aklan proves that age in just a number after completing his Senior High School.

Nicolas “Rody” Sucgang has proven that age is just a number by marching on stage to receive his Senior High School diploma. His achievement has inspired many, showing that it’s never too late to pursue education.

Sucgang, known as “Nong Rudy,” was among the graduates of the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track, Agri-Fishery Arts Strand, with a specialization in Aquaculture at Napti Integrated School.

Carmen Selorio, a teacher at the school shared the senior citizen’s story. She even praised Nicolas and others like him who continue to strive for their educational goals regardless of age. “Age is just a number… for education, it doesn’t matter,” Selorio captioned her post.

The school principal Evan C. Regalado expressed his admiration for Nicolas’s commitment to his studies. He shared that Nong Rudy was a former student of Kalantiaw Institute who wished to continue his education and obtain his Senior High School diploma.

“He really wants to finish his secondary education. I endorsed him to his present adviser, ma’am Erra M. Dalida, teacher adviser of grade 12. He diligently attended to his studies,” Regalado said.
