Robi Domingo talked about his recent hosting stint
Kapamilya host Robi Domingo shared how he prepared as a host of the recent fan meet event of the K-pop group TWICE.
Robi has spent years as a host. His home network ABS-CBN has given him remarkable hosting projects. He is currently one of the hosts of the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother which is set to return soon. In his career so far, Robi can say that there were two “sablay” hosting stints that happened to him.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, Robi talked about his experience hosting the fan meet of one of the most popular all-girl groups from South Korea.
Robi Domingo revealed that every time he hosts an event for K-pop or K-drama, he does not get enough sleep because he thoroughly researches the group or personalities he will interview.
“We know how the fandoms can react, so specifically for TWICE, I had to learn some of the dances, watch all the music videos, and memorize their names. So yeah, it was a big preparation,” he said.
Robi said that all his efforts paid off when he met the K-pop group. He said that the members were really adorable, cute, and they were very nice. The Kapamilya host added that he now understands why ONCE and FILO ONCE are so very supportive and giving their all-out love for the group.
“It’s because of their talent, their personality, and their overall package,” Robi shared. The Kapamilya host also fondly shared his bias. He said that before the interview, his biases were Tzuyu, Sana, and Momo. After the interview, he said that he likes Tzuyu, Sana, Jihyo, and Jeongyeon.”
For his favorite TWICE song, Robi mentioned “What is Love?”, “More and More,” “TT,” and “Fancy.” After the interview, the Kapamilya host said that he can call himself ONCE even though it is not on the same level as avid fans of the group.
