According to PAGASA, the temperature at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Pasay City station would reach 42 degrees Celsius, while the Science Garden in Quezon City will register 41 degrees, placing Metro Manila’s heat index between extreme caution and danger categories.

It was recommended to the public to take preventative measures against heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and cramps.

The public is advised to drink plenty of water, avoid coffee, tea, and liquor, wear heat protective gear, limit outdoor activities, and reschedule heavy-duty activities at the start or end of the day to prevent heat-related illnesses.

However, possible flash floods and landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon as well as the rest of the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
