‘Pasaway Kids’ Turn Part of CCLEX into Diving Board

Over the past few days, a video showing several children using a section of the CCLEX as a diving board circulates online. The alarming footage has raised concerns about the safety of these children and the potential hazards they face.
In the video, four young boys are seen arriving at a high section of the expressway. They are shirtless and cautiously holding onto the railings. After a brief pause, the boys take turns positioning themselves before diving into the sea.
Joh Pamaybay, the uploader of the video, explained that he was on his way to Bohol and waiting for a pump boat when he noticed the children. Due to the distance, he was unable to warn them to stop their risky jumps.
Instead, he decided to film the incident to bring it to the attention of the authorities.
The video has sparked concern because the children’s stunts are not only dangerous due to the height and potential impact of the water but also because they risk being hit by vehicles while accessing the expressway.
The management of CCLEX has seen the video and responded by deploying a shore patrol to the area. They also noted that other children have been engaging in similar activities.
CCLEX is working closely with barangay officials to enhance monitoring and prevent such incidents from happening again.
Luckily, no children were harmed during this incident. However, the video has emphasized the need for stricter enforcement of safety measures. There are already warning signs in place prohibiting children and other residents from entering the restricted areas of the expressway.
