PWD Man Touches Many Hearts for Working Despite Disability
A PWD man has garnered praise online for his dedication to working despite his physical challenges.
Recently, a TikTok user @gratefulmeka shared a video of a hardworking man who watches over and covers parked motorcycles with cardboard in a parking space, ensuring they are protected from the heat. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
The video, captured outside a Jollibee in Balayan, Batangas, shows the man, referred to as “Tatay,” covering parked motorcycles with cardboard. The uploader was immediately struck by the disabled man’s industriousness.
“When I saw him, di na nawala tingin ko sa kanya. Ang sipag ni Tatay. Naghihintay sa labas ng Jollibee, naglalagay siya ng karton sa mga motor para di mainitan. Kung magkano siguro iabot may kita siya,” she said.
The uploader and her friend happened to pass by the Jollibee without carrying extra money. However, her friend had a little spare cash and gave Tatay a Yum Burger and water.
The lady netizen noticed that Tatay only had one arm. Despite the intense heat, he was incredibly diligent and attentive, immediately placing ‘karton’ or cardboard on any motorcycle as soon as he had an extra piece.
The woman explained that the disabled man is not stealing or deceiving anyone, he endures the heat and works hard despite his disability. These are the people who fight fairly in life.
“Hindi nagnanakaw, nangloloko, jundi nagtitiis sa init sa kabila ng kapansanan nagtitiyaga sa buhay,” he added.
According to the security guard at the Jollibee, the PWD man had only been working there for a week, yet he had already made a huge impression with his work ethic.

“Sa bandang Balayan, Batangas Jollibee po makikita si Tatay. Sabi ng guard doon, 1 week pa lang nagsisimula si Tatay sa ganoong trabaho niya,” she further explained.
