Michelle Dee was asked about her next endeavor after her MUPH reign
What’s next for Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee after her reign? Here’s what the beauty queen-actress said.
Michelle’s pageant journey has become an inspiration to many pageant aspirants. Her first national pageant title was Miss World Philippines in 2019. She first joined MUPH in 2022 but she was not able to bring home the title. Then, she had her second attempt last year and she became victorious.
On May 22, Michelle officially turned over the crown to the new Miss Universe Philippines. Miss Bulacan Chelsea Manalo was hailed as the MUPH 2024.
In an interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Michelle Dee said that she will continue her advocacy despite the end of her reign.
The Kapuso star said that being on the MUPH stage was nostalgic for her because she had been there twice before she won the crown. She also recalled her homecoming from El Salvador where she competed for the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
Michelle said that she will always remember that moment because of the love and support she received at that time.
“Too many but the one thing that definitely stood out was when I came home from El Salvador. To be greeted with so much love, compassion, celebration and just being in a room full of people that are proud to be Pinoy. I know I didn’t bring home the fifth crown, but I just hoped that I made you all proud and I felt that. Maraming salamat,” Michelle shared.
She also said that the crown gives a great responsibility. The beauty queen stressed that she has to be inspirational and aspirational because the whole universe is watching.
When asked about her future endeavors after her reign. “I have always been a very proud multi-faceted queen. I love the arts, I love being creative. I’m actually a very, very creative and tech nerd, but just trust that you will see more of me,” she shared.
Michelle Dee also stressed that the best testament of being a queen is the works after the reign. The real queen, she said, would have to continue to walk the talk and the advocacy. Michelle said that this is what she will do.
